The Shreveport Police & Firefighters Memorial is a solemn reminder of the sacrifices police and firefighters sometimes make on behalf of those they serve. The Memorial, built in 1999 on the Shreveport riverfront honors the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The Riverbend Rotary of Shreveport recently announced the dedication of the newly installed flagpole for the Sheriff’s Department. The dedication will be held on May 13, 2024 at 2 pm at the Memorial.
